27 May 2015
Mike Barnes, Roger Threllfall, Bryan Hobbs and Tony Mooney got together at the Jolly Boatman on Wednesday 27 May 2015. It was a terrific afternoon sitting together by the side of the canal at the back of a charming Oxfordshire pub. It was just lovely in the sun with the bridge and some moored narrow-boats in view. The tow path was busy with walkers, runners and cyclists and a few ducks swam by too.
The food was good and the company was tremendous. Just four of us though but we talked and reminisced about our time and adventures as apprentices at Locking and had a great time. The waitress took some photos for our website on my phone but whatever she did there are no photos on it! I should have checked afterwards but she was so nice I didn’t think of it. Better luck next time.
And there will be a next time! That was our final thought of the day. Maybe a few more of you will feel encouraged to join us.
